A little bit about me

BACKGROUND
I’m a journalism student at the University of Minnesota focused on health communication, with a strong pull toward music and entertainment media. I’m drawn to live concerts, rising artists, and the cultural moments that define how music is experienced today.
For me, storytelling starts with attention—watching how music, media, and culture shape the way people see themselves and the world around them. I’m building my skills in reporting, writing, and media analysis through coursework and hands-on storytelling.

INSIDE THE SCENE
My work starts in the spaces where culture is happening in real time—concerts, online music conversations, and media trends. I look for the stories behind the sound: what’s breaking through, what’s being overlooked, and why it matters.
From there, I focus on reporting with clarity and intention. I refine each story to make sure it’s accurate, engaging, and grounded in real context. Feedback helps sharpen both focus and impact.

WHY IT MATTERS
I believe music and media journalism works best when it feels alive—rooted in real people, real moments, and real culture. The goal isn’t just to describe what’s happening, but to understand why it resonates.
At the core of my work is a simple idea: the best stories don’t just report culture—they help define how we experience it.
